I just want opinions bc I don't want people to be judgemental. I feel like people will harass him because we are so diff. I dress conservatively, while he is into the emo style. Not the cutting and stuff, more less just like the style and cute hair cuts. Do you think other African American males will criticize him? I just want opinions.

I wouldn't think I would admire them, because they decided to not listen to society. and that they are willing to take life with many judgemental people but they hang on strong because they love each other and that's what matters.

I would say depends on where you live and what kind of social circle you have around you. But I was in seattle and I can imagine a picture of you and him walking around and hanging with people and I don't see (at least in my head) anyone harrassing him/you (a). i personally wouldn't care much about being criticized a bit either. i am what i am and do what i want to do - so, probably he wouldn't mind (b). i loved the girls i loved for what they are and didn't love for what they were. but i hardly cared (unless i was stupid sometimes) about what others think (c).

nobody really cares who everyone else dates UNLESS
the girl is super hot then guys will always wanna know.
typically though, most dudes i know... especially the black ones could care less who black women date.
if a black woman is strictly into white guys though, other dudes usually assume she's trying to "get back" for some perceived mistreatment.

They might. Does this bother you? If it does you might want to reconsider. But my guess is if you don't give this guy a go, you will always regret it and wonder 'what if'. Life is too short to worry about things that just don't matter. Who cares if some small minded people think you are an odd couple? Opposites attract. If you say you will only date guys who are just like you, or of a certain type you will miss out on some great guys. Good luck.

I say, "awww, how sweet." It doesn't matter what people think. If you like him and he likes you, who cares. People probably won't even care. I'm all for interracial dating. Mainly, because I know I like different types of guys. I have one question, though. Why are you even asking? If I liked him, I wouldn't give a damn. If your second guessing yourself, you should really think if your ready for the relationship. You don't need anyone else's approval.
