What will my baby look like?

I was wondering what mine and my boyfriends baby will look like. I am white, fair skin with freckles, i have green eyes and light brown/aubrun hair. My mom has dark brown hair and dark complection with green eyes and a few freckles. My father has light red hair, blue eyes and fair complection with freckles. My boyfriend is African American, he has dark black skin and hair and brown eyes. His mother has dark skin as well and black hair and brown eyes. We are unsure about his father. Could you please help me in guess what my baby will look like?

If you really need to know that badly, you can do one of two things...

1. Go online and find out the dominant traits of each description you want to know about. You can just google "Dominant Hair Traits"...it's a biology thing...I'll try to explain it but you'll actually better off if you find it online to be explained....(this is the very simple and basic way...there are a ton of things that effect it though...)

It's called a Punnett square...basically you draw a box with a line down the middle vertically and horizontally....so you have 4 boxes inside...then...you'll find out which is what...for example...brown eyes are dominant, so if your child gets any part of the brown eye gene, he'll be brown eyed (shown Ee-e for e and uppercase is dominant...one for each parent)...if he has 2 brown eyed traits (one from each parent) he'll be brown eyed (shown EE), and if he has none (two parents give him recessive traits) he'll be that color (shown ee)... So....to make this easy...you have 2 recessive green eyed triats...(ee)...your boyfriend...lets just say he's EE...two dominant traits......

Now bring the dominant E over in all 4 boxes

Now drop down the lower case e

Since all 4 squares contain a dominant brown eyed trait, chances 100% that your child is going to be brown eyed...

You have a 50% chance of your child being brown eyed, and a 50% chance he's not...

75% chance brown eyed...25% not....

Not too hard, i hope? haha...I know it's long but it's easy once you get the hang of it...just google which traits you wanna know, anything from widows peak to a hitch hikers thumb, and you'll be able to do a basic assessment....again, it's very basic cause you don't know about his grandparents or their parents or their parents....

2. You can try to find a doctor who could do that for you with blood tests and lots of money...haha...

This is not easy my guess is, green eyes, freckles and dark hair.

But most people with freckles have light hair also, so -------.

I can assure you that if you have more then one child they will not have same complexion.

Brown eyes are dominant over green and blue eyes, so he/she will most likely have brown eyes (but not definitally). Red hair tends to run through the mother's father's side (I know, sounds weird). So you got your hair (auburn) from your dad (most likely). So your child is likely to have auburn hair as well (but also a chance of black hair). As for the skin, the child usually falls somewhere between the dad's and mothers (if mixed-races). So he/she may not be as dark as dad, but probably won't be as light as you.

For an example....my half brother and half sister are between my dad and stepmother. My dad has fair-slightly tan skin and some freckles, brown straight hair, and green/hazel eyes. My stepmother has dark skin (half Spanish-half Italian), nearly black curly hair, and brown eyes. My sister got very fair skin with a few freckles on her cheeks, lighter brown straight/wavy hair, and her mom's brown eyes. My brother got darker skin, dark curly hair, and dark eyes (all from his mom). They have the same parents but each got different parts from their mom/dad.

as for brown eyes predominant over blue. not so. false. my daughter has three kids all ranging from hazel to different shades of blue, both her and her hubby have brown eyes, 2 brown eyes can make a blue, but 2 blue eyes cannot make a brown, fact... my mum had six kids, ranging from. red.brown. and blond hair. curly and straight,, my nephew who is half Indian, has 3 kids who are all blue eyed, his wife has brown. my friend who married a Turkish man, had twins, not identical. one looks like is dad, dark . the other twin like his mum fair. the . its all just a melting pot. you get what your given. and you love them for it. thank god
