Paternity Test Question?

I had my son's alleged father tested and the results proved he wasn't the father. I was so sure as they look exactly alike. I was with one other man around the time that I had conceived. One was an African American male and the other was Hispanic. When looking at my son he appears to have inherited African American Features, i.e.: mulatto skin, coarse hair, plump lips. He also inherited similar features of the man that I had tested, same chubby cheeks, height, He was 6'3" or so my 11 yr old is 5'6" same slender feet slim muscular build, and many more similarities. Is it possible to have an incorrect paternity test? If so what are the probabilities and reasons?

Paternity Test Question?

When they gave you the paternity test results, they should have given you the probability range for your results at the same time.

Usually the tests are very accurate (like 99.9%). The only way to know for sure is to get the other man tested...if there's only one other option than the guy you tested already, then you'll have your answer once his test results are back.

Paternity Test Question?

Well, some Hispanic people do have plump lips and coarse hair. Do you have African American in your blood?

Paternity Test Question?

No, this is the reason you shouldn't be promiscuous, and you should use contraception. Otherwise you find yourself in a situation like this looking for someone to bail you out

Paternity Test Question?

Hi I had my son have a paternity test also to see if he was the father of my new grandchild. to answer your question about the test possibly being wrong? the answer is no, it can't be wrong, the only way for it to be would for the lab you had the test done at to put the swabs in the wrong envelopes and when we did our test, they put the swabs in the envelopes in front of us and showed the names on the envelopes to verify everything matched. so if I were you, I would take the test as being correct.

Paternity Test Question?

The test is only as good as the human who performed it. I would test the other man, also.

The are instances of tests being done inaccurate.

Google 'Paternity test mistakes'. or some similar phrase and you will see instances and arguements for and against errors and the reasons for the errors. The most common being human error....as in any other job.
