Ideals of beauty?

What is the ideal feminine beauty in your mind ? What is it in America ? I'm pretty sure it is the long blonde hair and blue eyes. In the african american community they accentuate curves but it seems in Europe they like long, thin and chic.

.What are the given ideals of beauty, such as long neck, oval face, full lips, etc.?

I have a very unique and exotic look. I am italian, scottish, german, panamanian, welsh and english..I have full pink lips, long way brown hair, long neck, oval face, long legs, 5'8", wide-set green eyes, light-olive skin tone, long fingers, and pretty, narrow feet.. I know this may sound conceited but many people refer to me as "gorgeous." And I just wondered if all cultures have the same idea of beauty or not..

I am doing a research paper on the ideals of physical beauty and I just wanted to know if you had any ideas

Idea of Beauty ?

The idea of physical beauty is very subjective. The best way to prove this is to look at magazines or advertisements from long ago, or even old movies, and see how the idea of what is 'beautiful' has changed. 100 years ago the ideal 'beautiful woman' was much fatter than she is today--she was plump and cuddly! She had big round thighs and round cheeks, not the protruding cheekbones that were in style later. In the 20s beautiful women were thin and flat-chested. Boobs and even hips were not stylish!

I read somewhere that missionaries found this tribe in central Africa where all the women had goiters--swollen thyroid glands in their necks--because they were so far from the ocean they all had deficiencies of iodine in their diets. The missionaries tried to help them with vitamin supplements with iodine, but they didn't want help. They thought goiters were sexy! In China 100 years ago women chewed betel nuts and it made their teeth black! And wouldn't you know it, black teeth became all the rage and people would dye them on purpose!

Your definition of yourself sounds very interesting. I think mixtures are always interesting! Of course all of us are mixtures in one way or another.

I, on the other hand, am lucky. If someone likes me, I know it's for my personality. 8^)

It does sound very coneceited to me. I've been able to figure out two things though:

1: You're from the USA.

2: You're a bit of an airhead.

As for for idea of beauty...without being conceited, I would say as I was an ugly as sin itself.
